"A ... red-rumped finch with red ear patch and black abdomen spotted white. Above, olive-brown, finely barred black with crimson rump; face, black; ear patch, crimson; throat and upper breast, pale buff barred black; abdomen, black with large white spots. Bill, red; eyes, red with ring of naked blue skin; legs, dark brown."
