The vertical rectangles (4 rows of 19) contain the given flower colour words, evenly divided; small squares beneath each rectangle contain the colour words mentioned for leaves, new growth, stems, bark, and fruit.

The colours of 200 eucalyptus leaves are arranged in pairs indicating the leaf front and back; some are further divided if there is more than one leaf colour mentioned.The pairs are different colours (usually the back is lighter) if discolorous; the same if concolorous. This is an aid to species identification.
